Fossil Fuel Cartel - Climate Culprit?

Special guest Lawrence Wollersheim, Executive Director of Job One for Humanity, joins Dr. Peter Carter, Paul Beckwith and Regina Valdez to discuss the role of the fossil fuel cartel in the climate emergency.

The fossil fuel cartel has taken the following measures over the past 60 years: funding global disinformation campaigns, promoting misinformation through think tanks and influencers, blocking regulations to reduce fossil fuel use, and creating an illusion of safety and progress regarding climate change. This has resulted in underestimated climate change consequences and a lack of preparedness for escalating catastrophes.

A dire “Climate Change Double Dilemma” is presented. In the first dilemma, drastic fossil fuel reductions required by 2025 could lead to the loss of about half of humanity due to food shortages. In the second dilemma, if politicians fail to make the required reductions, much of the remaining half of humanity would also perish by 2050 due to catastrophic climate consequences. The following is emphasized: the urgent need for individuals, businesses, and nations to prepare for climate change impacts, to share this information widely, and to demand enforceable climate laws targeting fossil fuel companies.

The discussion highlights the devastating impact of the fossil fuel industry, its manipulation of public perception, and the urgent need for climate justice and accountability.
