The UN Water Conference 2023, held in New York City from March 22nd to 24th, brought together a diverse group of stakeholders to discuss and coordinate on global water issues.

Among the attendees were Regina, Charles, and Heidi, who traveled to the conference in different ways. Charles and Heidi drove their Nissan Leaf EV from Ottawa to Dale Walkonen’s place in New Rochelle, NY, while Regina commuted from her home in New York City. Dale Walkonen and Raya Salter of Facing Future also attended, while Paul participated virtually.

Over the course of the three days, the attendees attended side events organized by water-related groups and made valuable contacts. One of the highlights of the conference was an interview with Davi Vargas, President and Cofounder of Isla Urbana, which Regina had the opportunity to conduct. The interview took place in the East Lounge of the UN building and was recorded by Charles and Heidi. You can watch the interview here.
